Privacy Policy

The TPRM Podcast is a website for a podcast. It has no accounts, no logins, no comment section and no mailing list. It does not collect personal information about you. The detail below explains what that means and where the few exceptions sit.

What this site does not do

There is no analytics on this site. No Google Analytics, no advertising or marketing pixels, no session recording, no fingerprinting, and no third-party tracking scripts of any kind. The site itself sets no cookies and writes nothing to your browser’s storage.

The typefaces are served from this domain rather than from a font provider, so loading a page does not tell anyone else that you visited.

Searching the episode archive

The search box on the episodes page runs entirely inside your browser. What you type is never sent to a server, never logged, and never leaves your device.

Server logs

This site is hosted on Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel automatically processes basic technical information in order to deliver pages to you, which can include your IP address, browser type and the time of the request. This is standard infrastructure logging used for security and reliability. It is handled by Vercel under its own privacy terms, and it is not used to build a profile of you.

Embedded video

Episode pages embed the video from YouTube. These embeds use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), which means YouTube does not set its usual tracking cookies simply because a page loaded.

If you press play, that changes. Starting a video is a direct interaction with YouTube, and from that point Google may collect data and set storage in your browser under its own policies. We have no control over and no access to that data.

Links away from this site

Links to Spotify, Apple Podcasts, iHeartRadio, YouTube, our sponsor, and to guests’ own sites take you to services we do not run. Once you leave, their privacy policies apply, not this one. If you listen to the show on one of those platforms, that platform decides what it collects about your listening, and you should read its policy rather than this one.

Children

This is a professional podcast about cybersecurity and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.

Your rights

Privacy laws such as the GDPR and the CCPA give you rights to access, correct or delete personal information that a business holds about you. Because this site does not collect or store personal information, there is in practice nothing for us to retrieve or erase. If you believe otherwise, or you want to ask about the host’s separate business dealings with you, write to us and we will respond.

Changes

If this site ever starts collecting anything, for example by adding analytics or an email list, this page will be updated before that happens and the date at the top will change.
