Privacy Policy
The TPRM Podcast is a website for a podcast. It has no accounts, no logins and no comment section. The only personal information it collects is an email address, and only if you type one into the signup form yourself. The detail below explains what happens to it, and what the rest of the site does and does not do.
The episode mailing list
If you ask to be notified about new episodes, we store the email address you give us. Nothing else: no name, no company, and nothing about which pages you read.
Signing up is confirmed opt-in. Giving us an address sends you one email asking you to confirm it, and until you click the link in that email you are not on the list and nothing further is sent to you. That is deliberate, so nobody can put your address on the list but you. Alongside the address we keep the fact that it was confirmed and the date, which is what tells us we are allowed to email you at all.
The list is used to send you an email when a new episode goes up, and for nothing else. It is not sold, rented, shared or swapped, you will not get sponsor mail because of it, and it is not used to advertise anything to you elsewhere.
The list is held by Resend, an email delivery provider, which processes it on our instructions. Sending you an email necessarily tells Resend your address, and Resend records the delivery so it can tell us whether messages arrived.
You can leave at any time. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link and it takes effect immediately. You can also write to toni@tprmpodcast.com and ask to be removed, or ask us to delete the address entirely rather than just stop mailing it.
What this site does not do
There is no analytics on this site. No Google Analytics, no advertising or marketing pixels, no session recording, no fingerprinting, and no third-party tracking scripts of any kind. The site itself sets no cookies and writes nothing to your browser’s storage.
The typefaces are served from this domain rather than from a font provider, so loading a page does not tell anyone else that you visited.
Searching the episode archive
The search box on the episodes page runs entirely inside your browser. What you type is never sent to a server, never logged, and never leaves your device.
Server logs
This site is hosted on Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel automatically processes basic technical information in order to deliver pages to you, which can include your IP address, browser type and the time of the request. This is standard infrastructure logging used for security and reliability. It is handled by Vercel under its own privacy terms, and it is not used to build a profile of you.
Embedded video
Episode pages embed the video from YouTube. These embeds use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), which means YouTube does not set its usual tracking cookies simply because a page loaded.
If you press play, that changes. Starting a video is a direct interaction with YouTube, and from that point Google may collect data and set storage in your browser under its own policies. We have no control over and no access to that data.
Links away from this site
Links to Spotify, Apple Podcasts, iHeartRadio, YouTube, our sponsor, and to guests’ own sites take you to services we do not run. Once you leave, their privacy policies apply, not this one. If you listen to the show on one of those platforms, that platform decides what it collects about your listening, and you should read its policy rather than this one.
Children
This is a professional podcast about cybersecurity and is not directed at children. The signup form is not aimed at them, we have no way of knowing a signup came from a child, and if you believe a child has given us an address, write to toni@tprmpodcast.com and we will delete it.
Your rights
Privacy laws such as the GDPR and the CCPA give you rights to access, correct or delete personal information that a business holds about you. What we hold is described above: an email address you gave us, and the fact and date that you confirmed it. Write to toni@tprmpodcast.com and we will tell you what is stored against your address, correct it, or delete it.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it except with Resend as described above, which processes it in order to deliver the emails you asked for.
Changes
If this site starts collecting anything beyond what is described above, for example by adding analytics, this page will be updated before that happens and the date at the top will change.
